General
General
This is a blog for engineering managers and leaders written by Bjorn Roche. More about Bjorn Roche in about.md. The audience is generally other engineering leaders, managers, and aspiring managers, but sometimes includes other folks in tech.
I use Jekyll with Minimal Mistakes.
For images associated with this blog, I depict myself and other leaders (CEOs, VP Engineering, etc) as red pandas.
What I want your help with
- When asking for feedback, I want you to focus on making sure my argument is clear, and the writing is fluid. Spelling, grammar and factual corrections are welcome, but not the focus.
- Don’t change the prose unless I explicitly ask you to, but formatting and so on is fine.
- Is there research I could cite that backs up my point? Is there research that contradicts it? Are there points that disagree with my writing that need to be better addressed?
Style
- Titles and headings use normal sentence casing, not title case.
- eg is lower case and without periods. Other acronyms are usually upper case with no periods.
- punctuation appears outside of quotes. Like this: “this is a quote”.
